A: Our headquarters are located in Marlin, Texas with satellite locations in North Texas, California, New York, Pennsylvania, Missouri, and Brazil.

Q: Are you a publicly traded company?
A: No. Global Rail Systems, Inc. is privately held. Shareholders include company founders and employees, individual investors, and firms such as Bryan & Edwards.

Q: When were you established?
A: Global Rail Systems was established in 2002, and incorporated in April 2003. However, its principle employees have been in the railroad industry for approximately 20 years.

Q: Are you hiring?

Patented FAS-PAS™ FAQ

Q: Is this a signaling system?
A: No. FAS-PAS™ allows for the remote control of switches in Dark Territory. The movement of trains is governed by manual block systems (TWC, DTC, etc).

Q: What type of switches do you use?
A: This is determined by the customer. Typical switches include the Alstom Model 5 series, US&S M23, and the NGS Automator. The FAS-PAS Lite™ product is design to provide information on the position of hand-thrown switches.

Q: How much does a system cost?
A: This is dependent on the configuration selected by the customer and whether installation is included. Typically, a single switch point (end-of-siding) costs approximately 1/3 of an “island” of CTC. Please call or write for a quote.

Q: How long for delivery?
A: Typical delivery for a FAS-PAS™ location is 8 weeks from receipt of a purchase order. Under certain circumstances this may be shortened. Please let us know if you have a particular need.
