| SI\CIP-1 Audio Frequency Overlay Track Circuit
The Global Rail Systems/SI CIP-1 Audio Frequency Overlay (AFO) Track Circuit can be used for Over the Switch Protection, Circuit Island Protection, Shove Track Occupancy Detection and HBD, DED or AEI start/stop control.
SAFETY: The CIP-1 is designed to AREMA standards as a direct type replacement for present Shunt Type Island Circuits. The CIP-1 design employs techniques that inhibit relay drive activation while the track circuit is occupied, therefore minimizing the potential failure modes that may result in an unsafe failure. The final system safety depends upon the application.
The CIP-1 comes in a Phoenix enclosure and provides a flexible, compact, lightweight Din-Rail mounted configuration available in both vital and non vital configurations. The terminals are keyed or non-keyed plug coupled for ease of maintenance and replacement.
The ten (10) transmitter frequencies are paired to allow maximum flexibility, help reduce inventories and enables field selection of frequencies. Available frequencies are

The receivers are matched to specific transmitters and the relay drive is easily tuned in the field.
